Q. Which foods should I avoid to lose weight?
Avoid processed foods, basically, anything that comes in packets. Fried and sugary foods should also be avoided Stay away from the word “healthy” on the so-called healthy snacks. Just don’t look at the calorie count, also check the list of ingredients for sodium, etc. Even baked snacks are not healthy as they undergo vacuum frying, which means they’re still 50% fried.
Q. Are there any juices or tea recipes that help lose weight?
Here’s a recipe for a pomegranate decoction:
- 1 piece of pipli or long pepper
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 15 tulsi leaves
Method: Boil water, then add tulsi, freshly ground pipli, and ginger to it. Boil for 1 minute or more. Switch off the gas and then add half a cup of pomegranate juice. Strain the mixture. Drink lukewarm.
