It’s no surprise that for any given role our favourite Bollywood celebs have to set a strict fitness regime and follow a certain diet. Whether it might be to cut off junk food entirely or train at the gym for hours a day, it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. When I saw Shraddha Kapoor‘s look in the trailer of Street Dancer, I was shook. She looks so toned (rightfully!) while she busts out those moves on the dance floor. To find out more, I spoke to celebrity trainer and nutritionist, Maahek Nair and her husband, celebrity fitness trainer Praveen Nair, who worked with Shraddha during the filming of Street Dancer. Here is what they had to say about Shraddha’s diet and fitness regime:
Shraddha Kapoor’s Fitness RoutineNair commented saying that the main goal was to “make her look lean and very fit as the character demanded her to look so”. She further stressed that it was important that her fitness regime catered to that where she can perform stunts, “We trained Shraddha almost every day and travelled with her while she was travelling so that she doesn’t miss workout and meals”. Moreover, Nair mentioned that Shraddha trained for a 45 minutes slot, five to six times a day. When asked details on the kinds of workout she did, Nair elaborated, “We focused a lot on functional training, like jumping, rolling, landing, kicks, etc. This was most of the time, our way of doing a warm-up. Then, in the main zone, we used to practice Reformer Pilates and Olympic weight lifting like CrossFit”.
Shraddha Kapoor’s Diet And Meal PlanNair gave us a breakdown of Shraddha’s daily meal plan, from breakfast to dinner.Breakfast: Smoothie of avocado and berries with almond milk (for good fats and protein)Lunch: Almond bread sandwich with tofuEvening Snack: Snack Walnuts (10), Green teaDinner: Spinach soup with some tofu sticksI’m in awe of Shraddha’s dedication and devotion to her work.
