These delicious and healthy blends make it easy to eat healthy on days you’re in a rush or don’t feel like an entire meal. They include a variety of whole fruits, milk, immune-boosting, probiotic-containing yoghurt, along with other nutritious ingredients. Though I’d never recommend a diet that consists of only smoothies – these thirst busters are an ideal way to start your day or end a workout/busy day at work.
1) Banana Ginger Smoothie
Blend some sliced banana, vanilla yoghurt, grated ginger and honey until smooth. This concoction soothes digestion, heartburn, nausea, and other stomach issues!
2) The Fruit Lover’s Smoothie
Chop up some fresh strawberries and bananas. Add some orange juice concentrate and a little yoghurt. Blend till creamy then gulp down. With this in your tummy, you won’t be feeling any hunger pangs for a looong time!
3) Tropically Papaya
Cut up some papaya and pineapples into chunks. Blend with ice cubes, coconut extract, some coconut water and a little yoghurt. This coconut infused baby will transport you to your own tropical island!
4) Guava – Watermelon Madness
This makes for a super summer-time smoothie. Chop up some watermelons (make sure they’ve been de-seeded), add some guava nectar (or skim milk), ice and blend. Voila – drink up your very own summer!
5) A Very Berry Smoothie
Dice up some strawberries, add blueberries and raspberries, some skim milk, vanilla yoghurt and ice – blend till smooth and gulp down that berry perfection! To add a little extra crunch, garnish with almonds or pumpkin seeds.
6) The Super Green Smoothie
Blend together some diced mangoes, spinach and avocado with a little coconut water and ice. This one’s bound to make you a leafy-lover!
7) The Orange Popsicle In A Glass
Combine a whole, peeled orange, some frozen orange juice concentrate ice cubes, crushed ice and some coconut water or just a tad bit of cold mineral water and BOOM – you have the perfect post-workout/beach day smoothie.
