If I received a penny for all the time I’ve spent hunting for the perfect sports bra, I could probably own every sports bra in the world. Being a self-proclaimed fitness freak automatically means I own more items of athleisure than anything else. Yep, if I’m invited to brunch, you best bet I’m gonna show up in a vibrant sports bra and some track pants. The moral of this is, that I’ve devoted a huge chunk of my time in search of the ultimate sports bras. Let’s be real, we can’t really be donning a random sports bra while we’re working out, no?
When it comes to shopping for a sports bra, there’s so much that needs to be kept in mind. Yeah yeah, we know it’s gotta be cute first. However, attention needs to be paid to what kind of material the sports bra is made of along with the kind of workouts it specially caters to. We get how confusing picking out the correct sports bra can be. Nobody wants to wear an ill-fitted sports bra that doesn’t absorb sweat or that fails to offer any support, amirite? That’s exactly why we’ve come up with a list of sports bras that will make working out a breeze.
Nike, Dri-FIT Alpha
The OG’s when it comes to sports bras, almost every pick from Nike has gotta be amazing. This dry-fit alpha sports bra is specially designed to withstand all kinds of high impact workouts. Doesn’t matter if you’re busting it out on some high-intensity interval training, lifting some weights or engaging in cardio, this particular sports bra is made just for that. With moulded cups that minimize bounce and ventilation on the back & front, you’re defo gonna want this.
Puma, Mid-Impact Own It
The pink hue had me sold on this one! Jk, this mid-impact own it bra from Puma like the name suggests, is designed for medium levels of impact. It comes with a rather chic cross-back design that’s amazing for allowing movement. Puma’s dryCell technology doesn’t disappoint at all since it promises moisture-wicking that prevents you from feeling sticky throughout your workout. This one is absolutely great for studio workouts, playing tennis or even performing certain circuits.
Adidas, Training Light Support Long Line
Again, the print had me sold on this one too! Adidas’ training light support long line sports bra is created keeping in mind movements like pilates, barre and yoga that are often low impact ones. It’s designed using recycled materials, how cool is that? With moisture-absorbing AEROREADY technology, this one ensures all your yoga sessions are sweat-free! What I loved about this particular sports bra is the presence of mesh on the front, this allows you to breathe as deeply as you’d like.
KICA Active, Crostini
Say goodbye to the usual cross-back sports bra, cuz KICA Active’s crostini bra is everything! A unique design that’s created in a way to offer just the right amount of support and fit like a glove, this sports bra was added to my cart the moment I saw it. With optimal closure to the back, the crostini bra is made from buttery-soft fabric that is hella breathable. Even though it happens to be a medium impact sports bra, the support it offers is as good as a high impact one.
Oner Active, Effortless Seamless High Neck Bralette
Okay, I know the fitness girlies are squealing at this one. Oner Active doesn’t retail in India as of now, however that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on it when you’re vacaying abroad. Their effortless seamless high neck bralette is literally the stuff dreams are made of. Made of extremely lightweight fabric that perfectly accentuates your curves, this sports bra comes with a racerback design that’s fashionable enough to be on runways. Um, the best part about this is it has removable cups that don’t budge when you’re working out!
