It is said that the average human has about three to five dreams per night. Although, we remember only a few of them. Some people can remember them, and some don’t even remember one! But everybody dreams. Some dreams are happy, while some give us the worst mornings ever. True, isn’t it? According to the Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud, dreams are known as The Royal Road to the unconscious mind. According to him, dreams are directly related to your current state of mind. And every dream has some meaning. It is said that dreams help therapists in psychoanalysis since, during therapy, dreams represent wish fulfilment, unconscious desires, and conflicts. Dreams contain both manifest content that includes information from the dream as the dreamer remembers it and latent content that represents the repressed, symbolic meaning embedded within the dream. Today, we’ve got you a list of such common dreams, and what they mean. Here they are:
1. Back-To-School
We all get this dream where we’ve gone back to school. This usually means that you’re not happy with your current workspace. Either you need a new job, or settle things at your current employment.
2. Dialling A Number, But Are Unable To
A lot of us get dreams of dialling a phone number on your phone but not being able to do so. This dream means that in your conscious life, you have communication problems. Either you’re not understanding someone, or someone isn’t hearing you out.
3. Flying
Flying has a couple of interpretations. It could mean your very happy with your career and soaring high. And it could also mean that you have a good amount of self-esteem.
4. Being Chased
This usually means that the dreamer is running away from a problem. This dream tells you to finally face this problem and confront the dreamer’s feeling.
5. Losing Teeth
This is a very common dream. And this too has a few meanings. Usually falling of teeth means you are feeling controlled. It also means that you think someone hasn’t understood your point of view or maybe feel unheard.
6. Running In Place
The struggle of moving forward is quite literal even in the dream. You’re trying to move ahead but you’re unable to. This means that in real life too, you feel like something is holding you back.
7. Crying A Lot
Crying in your dreams means you are holding back your emotions in real life, and this is your way of letting it all out.
