Ever since the release of Stree 2, Shraddha Kapoor has been off the silver screen for a long time now, and everyone is eager to see her next movie. The actor took a plunge and started shooting for director Laxman Utekar’s next film Eetha. However, an accident forced her to leave the shoot temporarily, as she fractured her toe during a dance sequence.

More Details On Shraddha Kapoor’s Fracture

According to a report by Mid-Day, Shraddha Kapoor was reportedly hurt while filming a Lavani number for the biopic, as per sources. Lavani is known for being fast and energetic, and more specifically, here in this case, it was the music by Ajay–Atul that dictated the pace of the fast footwork.

Shraddha Kapoor donned a traditional Nauvari saree, dressed in Vithabai’s looks with heavy jewellery as she played the role of a young Vithabai. A source informed the publication that while performing the dholki beat and the continuous flow of the dance, which required the movements of the body to be very quick, during one step, Shraddha Kapoor unintentionally put all her weight on her left foot, and thus, losing her balance, it resulted in a fracture. The report further added that Kapoor was on a 15 kg-plus weight gain journey for the role.

Filming was stopped immediately by Director Laxman Utekar after the incident. It is also said that Kapoor, even after getting injured, was willing to do her close-up shots if the schedule could be changed accordingly. After this, the team came back to Mumbai and started the emotional parts shoot on a Madh Island set to make their time productive, as they could not wait for long.
The pain in Shraddha’s foot was aggravated, and as a result, there was another break in shooting. The crew is going to be back at work only after two weeks or when she is fit again.
