With just a few days left for Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza‘s grand four-day wedding, it really is no surprise that the media is obsessed with trying to get as close to the couple, as possible.
The music launch of their hot new rom-com, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, saw a packed house at the Sun n Sand Hotel in Juhu, and started off with an act by the talented young music director duo, Sachin-Jigar and singer, Priya Panchal, who’s penned the lyrics.

Riteish and Genelia looked like a couple totally in love; no seven year itch with these two. Kumar Taurani of Tips Films (the producers) joked that they’d have to do two honeymoons – a shorter one so they can get back in time to promote the film, and a longer one later (awww..)

Literally, every second question that the journos asked them was about their wedding plans rather than the movie, and the couple had to remind them that the event, was in fact, about the latter.

Then the conversation drifted towards Siddharth Roy Kapur, (UTV has collaborated with Tips for the marketing and distribution of the flick), about his own wedding with Vidya Balan and the rumored bungalow that he’s bought for her.

Marriages and luxurious gifts aside, the music of the movie is lovable with a really fun song called “Pee Pa Pee Pa” and an item song, with hilarious lyrics featuring Veena Malik, called “Fann Ban Gayi”.

Atif Aslam (a Tips favorite) is back with his seductive voice, and though two of the romantic songs on the CD (I was so excited about the soundtrack I listened to it on my way back home) sounds a little like Race, we’re not complaining.

The best part of the evening was definitely Riteish. What struck me about him is that he’s such a real person and I agree with him when he says that a good film will work even if there are factors against it, like a real life couple being judged about their reel life chemistry.

The previews of the flick have a certain old world charm and innocence to them as well, and I wish that the success of the movie comes as the perfect wedding present for the adorable lovebirds.
