He posted a short video of Foster performing at Café Carlyle in New York and called the moment an unmistakable New York experience, adding how special the night felt. It’s said that their bond strengthened throughout production and afterward, eventually blossoming into romance when rehearsals and shows consistently kept them in each other’s company.
Her relationship comes nearly one year after Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023. The couple called the decision, at the time, one made out of love and respect, noting that they chose personal growth as they move ahead separately. They also asked for privacy for them and their kids, Oscar and Ava, as they transitioned to post-marriage life.
Us Weekly further stoked speculation over when the split actually occurred when it reported, citing sources, that Jackman and Foster’s relationship might have played a role in the demise of his marriage. Citing unnamed sources, the outlet said many in the Broadway community knew of the connection, but the two purportedly kept it private until now. Foster herself had been married twice previously, most recently to Ted Griffin.
Jackman and Furness were married for almost three decades, after first meeting on the set of the Australian series Corelli in 1995.
