Ever since it was announced that Allu Arjun and filmmaker Atlee Kumar are teaming up for a film, excitement among fans has been running high. The project, tentatively titled AA26XA6, was announced shortly after the massive successes of Pushpa 2 (starring Allu Arjun) and Jawan (directed by Atlee). Since then, every little update about the film has become a hot topic online.
The latest buzz, as reported by Valai Pechu, suggests that Vijay Sethupathi may be joining the cast. However, the report did not provide further details on the nature of his role, keeping fans guessing.
Vijay Sethupathi and Atlee’s Previous Collaborations
If the news holds true, this won’t be Sethupathi’s first collaboration with Atlee. The two previously worked together in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2023), where Sethupathi played the antagonist. Interestingly, in December 2024, it was also speculated that Atlee was planning a separate thriller film with Vijay Sethupathi, backed by producer Murad Khetani.
At the time, Atlee and Murad were promoting Baby John, which was announced in July 2023 and released in December 2024. During one of the promotional events, Atlee confirmed his collaboration with Allu Arjun, while Murad spoke about their upcoming projects.
Producers Confirm Multiple Projects in the Pipeline
In an interview, Murad Khetani said, “There are several projects in the pipeline, but one film has been locked. Atlee sir and I are starting a Tamil film, which will go on floors very soon. We will share more details shortly.”
Atlee, on his part, confirmed his collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi: “Yes, it’s a film with Vijay Sethupathi sir. It’s a fantastic story that Murad sir and I have been working on for the past two years. This is the next banger from Cine1 and A For Apple.”
Possible Cameo and More Star Power
With this backdrop, it will be interesting to see whether Vijay Sethupathi makes a cameo in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film with Atlee ahead of their full-fledged Tamil thriller together. Adding to the speculation, reports also suggest that Deepika Padukone may be part of the cast, marking her second collaboration with Atlee after Jawan.
