Six years after De De Pyaar De charmed audiences with its mix of humour and heart, Ajay Devgn is back with the sequel De De Pyaar De 2. The first look motion poster is out, and fans are already excited for another round of pyaar vs parivaar.
Directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan. It’s set to release in theatres on November 14, 2025, right in time for the festive season.
Ajay shared the motion poster on Instagram, where Rakul’s family is seen quite literally throwing him out of a car setting the tone for a hilarious family face-off. His caption read:
“Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? 🫣 #PyaarVsParivaar #DeDePyaarDe2.”
This time, the story follows Ajay’s character, Ashish, as he tries to win over his girlfriend Ayesha’s parents, a shift from the first film, where he had to face his ex-wife (Tabu) and grown-up kids.
Fans flooded social media with excitement, calling it “double the fun, double the madness.” Many also said they’ll miss Tabu, but are thrilled to see Madhavan join the cast. The sequel also features Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Jaaved Jaaferi.
When De De Pyaar De released in 2019, it stood out for its honest, funny take on modern relationships and emotional maturity. With the sequel, audiences can expect the same warmth and wit, but with new family chaos and sharper humour.
Come November 14, 2025, expect theatres to be filled with laughter, nostalgia, and plenty of drama. Because when pyaar meets parivaar, things are never simple and that’s exactly where all the fun begins.
