The post received a warm reception from fans in the replies, who congratulated the studio, appreciated the film and even asked for confirmation on Kalki 2 release.
Amitabh Bachchan Also Chimed In On X To Celebrate The Occasion
Amitabh Bacchan, who plays the role of Ashwatthama, celebrated the one year mark by quoting the tweet for Vijayanthi films and sharing a special message of appreciation for the film.
The way Amitabh sahab shows his gratitude even at the age of 82 and with countless blockbusters behind him, is a solid proof of what makes him one of the best actors in the history of Indian cinema.
And yes, we can confirm that this is Big B’s way of saying that he would take part in Kalki 2 in a heartbeat, and we would love to see him step into the dystopian Kalki universe again.
Fans were excited to see this, but they were not so excited to see that Big B had missed out on a major detail, or rather a tradition – of numbering the post.

In what seemed to be a never-ending wave of half-baked sequels and remakes, Indian cinema was truly suffering from the lack of something ‘new’, especially in times where Hollywood and other film industries were releasing back to back bangers across all genres.
Well, Kalki, a masterpiece from Telugu cinema, was the movie that broke this cycle of meh.

Another huge reason behind the film’s success, was its brilliant cast – which featured Amitabh Bachchan in a crucial role, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, with Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani also being a part of the mix.

As we all know, Kalki 2898 AD was only the start of the Kalki cinematic universe, and things will only get bigger and better moving forward.
Though there’s no confirmed date as of now, Aswini Dutt did confirm a few months ago that the pre-production on Kalki 2 has already begun, and that he has full confidence in Nag Ashwin to deliver a film even bolder than Kalki 2898 AD.
We’re excited to see what Kalki 2 will be like, and so is all of India… heck, even global audiences are looking forward to it. But the big question of whether Amitabh ji will be getting the call to join the cast once again or not, remains to be answered. Either way, he’s already confirmed he’s ready to do it any day.
