My journey with the character was very much powered by the director’s vision for her. Vandana was very clear of who Sitara is and she confidently guided me towards the character. Every role comes with its challenges, often these are all very rewarding and enjoyable challenges. I was definitely inspired by Sitara’s straightforwardness.

All relationships have complexities perhaps, whether modern or not. This story is a peek into that, through the lens of family. Sitara is today’s woman but let’s not forget that women in our families- whether mothers or grandmothers, even if they all don’t go to work in the same way that many do today, they are still very strong forces – standing as foundations to the family, giving direction and shape to the new generations.
