Uorfi Javed has long fascinated audiences with her distinctive fashion choices and her candidness. In her recent reality TV show, ‘Follow Kar Lo Yaar’, she opens up about her personal life and struggles. In an exclusive interview with MissMalini, Uorfi shares the remarkable journey of leaving her hometown of Lucknow and the challenges she faced along the way.
During the interview, Uorfi Javed recounts a painful episode from her teenage years. At about 15, a photo of her wearing an off-shoulder top and jeans was uploaded to a p*rn site. At that time, such fashion was not widely accepted, and she faced severe backlash and hate. Her difficult relationship with her father further compounded her struggles. She describes a distressing incident where she sought help at a police station due to her emotional turmoil, only to be publicly humiliated by her father.
Following these challenges, Uorfi spent six months living in her car, showering at friends’ homes, and finding temporary shelter in abandoned buildings or construction sites. Despite these hardships, she survived by teaching tuition to children, saving up money to rent a small apartment on the outskirts of Lucknow with her sister’s help. She eventually moved to Delhi, where she lived with college friends, worked at a call center, and later for a fashion designer. Her journey ultimately led her to Mumbai, marking the next chapter in her evolving career.
