The 70th National Film Awards were announced today at the National Media Center in New Delhi, celebrating a diverse range of cinematic achievements. The ceremony highlighted remarkable talents and films from the past year, with winners spanning multiple categories and genres.

Among the winners, Malayalam film ‘Aattam’ was named Best Feature Film, while Rishab Shetty won Best Actor for ‘Kantara’. Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh shared the Best Actress award for ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ and ‘The Kutch Express’, respectively. Sooraj Barjatya received Best Director for ‘Uunchai’, and ‘Kantara’ also took Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Pavan Raj Malhotra was Best Supporting Actor for ‘Fouja’, and Neena Gupta won Best Supporting Actress for ‘Uunchai’. The Best Male Playback Singer award went to Arijit Singh for ‘Kesariya’ from ‘Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva’. Additionally, ‘Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva’ won Best Film in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comic.
