Karan Johar’s popular talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ has long been a fan favorite, known for its candid conversations with the biggest stars about their personal lives. Recently, Karan shared exciting news about the show’s return for Season 9 and offered insights into why Season 8 fell short of expectations.

In a recent interview with Sucharita Tyagi, Karan Johar shared a major update about the upcoming season of ‘Koffee With Karan,’ revealing that the show will return with a new format in 2025. Reflecting on the previous season which received plenty of mixed responses, Johar candidly admitted that the rapid-fire round was “so boring” that he often questioned its purpose, feeling that none of the celebrities deserved the hamper due to their lackluster answers. He humorously added that he should have taken the hamper home himself. To revitalize the show, Johar decided to focus on maintaining its fun, chatty, and candid atmosphere without making celebrities feel awkward or uncomfortable. He noted that guests are now more hesitant to open up compared to the earlier days, reminiscing about the candidness of Emraan Hashmi and Mahesh Bhatt in past episodes. Johar acknowledged that while Bhatt would still provide frank responses, such candid moments are increasingly rare on the show.

I can’t wait for Season 9 of ‘Koffee With Karan’ and hope it brings the same masala and twists as the previous seasons. I’m excited to see Karan back in full form with his star-studded guests!
