Sonam Kapoor welcomed her firstborn son Vaayu with husband Anand Ahuja in 2022. The Bollywood actress often shares her motherhood experience and, in a recent interview, opened up about the misconceptions surrounding working mothers. Here’s what Sonam Kapoor had to say…

In conversation with India Today, Sonam Kapoor shared her honest thoughts on motherhood and mom guilt. “The biggest conception about working moms is that people think we don’t care about our kids and that we care more about our work. It’s not true. We care about our children enough to want to work,” Sonam Kapoor revealed. “One can never be prepared for motherhood. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mother or a working mother, everyone goes through mom guilt. Whether you’re doing a load of laundry or you’re cooking in the kitchen or you’re doing an interview with someone, there will always be guilt,” the actress added.

I’m sure a lot of working mothers will relate to Sonam Kapoor when it comes to the concept of mom guilt. No mother wants to leave their child alone, so people must understand the situation before shaming mothers for working. A lot of women are the only earning members of their families, so they must be appreciated for their sacrifice and hard work!
