I still vividly remember watching the 2009 comedy drama film ‘Billu’ starring Irrfan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Lara Dutta. Every time I listen to the songs from the movie, it stirs a sense of nostalgia and brings back good memories. An interesting fact about the filming of ‘Billu’ is that Irrfan Khan’s son, actor Babil Khan, met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time on the sets, and he recently recalled his cute encounter with the ‘Pathaan’ actor. Here’s what Babil Khan had to say…
In conversation with MensXP, Babil Khan shared his experience of meeting Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. “Me and Baba (Irrfan) were in Billu’s hut, and I don’t know what happened to me, and I did not think anything. I never felt ‘this man is Shah Rukh Khan.’ I jumped on his leg; I was small at that time. Main chippak gaya unse. He did not say anything; he just softly patted my head and started walking with me, and I was still hugging his leg,” Babil Khan revealed. Now that’s so cute and innocent of young Babil Khan!
Babil Khan made his Bollywood debut with the 2022 film ‘Qala’ alongside Tripti Dimri and went on to star in the web series ‘The Railway Men’ alongside Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, Divyenndu, and others. The Bollywood actor will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘The Umesh Chronicles’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
