In a recent appearance on season 11 of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the Bollywood actress spilled some interesting details about her love life and how her adoring husband Jay Mehta once surprised her with a truckload of roses on her birthday. Juhi Chawla joined Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa judges Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi, and Malaika Arora for a special episode. During the show, she recalled some memorable moments and also opened up about her experiences working with Farah Khan and Aamir Khan. One of the heartwarming things she shared was how she and her industrialist husband, Jay Mehta, would exchange heartfelt love letters and cards before marriage. “Before tying the knot, he wrote me letters every day. However, that tradition ceased after marriage (laughs). Back then, it was letters and cards, a practice that has evolved into emails and WhatsApp messages today,” Juhi Chawla revealed.
Juhi Chawla also recalled her husband Jay Mehta’s heartfelt gesture on one of her birthdays. “Jay and I crossed paths at dinner, and he began to orbit around me. On my birthday, he surprised me with a truck full of red roses. It took me a year to say ‘yes’ to him,” recalled Juhi.
The ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’ actress married Indian businessman Jay Mehta in 1995. The couple has two children, Jahnavi Mehta (born 2001) and Arjun Mehta (born 2003), together. It’s lovely to hear about such a romantic gesture, and Juhi Chawla surely deserves every bit of it.
