In conversation with Miss Malini, Vedang Raina shared about his calm response to his casting in ‘The Archies’. He revealed that he didn’t believe it at first because so many times he was cast in ads and asked to block his dates, but usually, things got canceled at the end. “I remember, Karan Mally, who is the casting director of the film, he had called me and he said this. But I just didn’t believe it. And my reaction kind of was… I’m sure he was disappointed by it because I was like oh okay okay so are we doing this? He said yeah and I said okay thik hain fine but I didn’t believe. It was (Vedang’s reaction) really cold and I didn’t intend it to be like that,” Vedang Raina shared.

‘The Archies’ released on Netflix on December 7, 2023. The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, introduced Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda along with Vedang Raina in a live-action musical comedy set in 1960s India.
