‘Dunki’ which marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani, hosted its first show in India at 5:55 am today at Mumbai’s iconic single screen theatre Gaiety Galaxy. In videos shared by Shah Rukh Khan fans online, a massive crowd of people came together to kick off the film’s release with fireworks and dhol-tasha. A big cut out of SRK was also spotted at the venue.

In the videos shared by fans on X, admirers of the superstar were seen dancing together while dhols set the mood. Few of them were seen holding up cutouts of a flight with ‘Dunki‘ written on it. A small stage for fireworks was also arranged and fans were seen dancing outside the theatre as they waited for the film to premiere. Here’s the video of the celebration:
The videos received a happy reaction from SRK who reposted the videos from Gaiety Galaxy and said, “Thank u guys and girls have a good show and hope u all get entertained by #Dunki.” Not only that, audiences from New Zealand have also started sharing their reactions and great reviews since the film released there earlier.
