Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ is gearing up for its release this week. The audience’s excitement is already soaring to a fever pitch as the superstar is on a constant spree of spreading his charm across the world with his back to back superhits. A JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, ‘Dunki‘ has the potential to become Shah Rukh Khan’s third consecutive film after ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ to enter the 500 Crore Club as predicted by trade analysts.
As per trade analyst Atul Mohan ‘Dunki’ can have an opening of ₹50 crores. As published in Bollywood Hungama, Atul Mohan opined that ‘Dunki’ can easily make a business of ₹500 crores. “The advance trend is good. There’s Shah Rukh Khan as the lead and moreover, Rajkumar Hirani is the director. After ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan‘, Shah Rukh Khan is on a different level altogether. As for Rajkumar Hirani, the business of his films is always greater than his last flick. ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ (2006) collected more than ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ (2003). ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) did many times more than ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. ‘PK’ (2014) broke ‘3 Idiots’ record. ‘Sanju’ (2018) also collected more than ‘PK’,” Atul Mohan explained.
