Renowned Malayalam Filmmaker Siddique, Aged 63, Passes Away on Tuesday. Siddique was admitted to a Kochi hospital on August 7 due to a cardiac arrest and was in a critical state. He had directed films like Bodyguard, Big Brother, and others.

At night Siddique passed away at the hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for liver-related issues for the past month. His health had worsened on the previous day, prompting doctors to provide him with ECMO which is Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation support. In 1983, Siddique made his entry into the Malayalam film scene alongside his friend, working as assistant director under the guidance of director Fazil. Together, they later produced a series of immensely successful comedy hits in the Malayalam film industry.
