The film earlier faced a lot of complications for matters regarding its content and the social issue of Sex Education that the film openly seemed to be addressing with its plot. The censor board gave it an A Certificate, but the makers were not so happy with this decision. However, despite all these hurdles, the film did exceptionally well. Akshay Kumar’s film collected 10.26 Crores on its opening day, and that itself came as a piece of big news to everyone. In the first week of its release, the movie collected ₹85.05 crore in theatres. The film recorded a big jump on Saturday by raking in 10.5 crores on day nine, taking its total business to Rs 101.61. On Saturday, its overall occupancy remained to be at 45.94%, as reported by Sacnik.com. The film pulled off this collection at the box office within 9 days of its release. This number surely comes as a big feat because of the film clashing with Gadar 2, which is doing exceptionally well at the box office.
Globally the film has touched 129 Crores and the overseas collection has been 21.5 Crores. This film also stars Pankaj Tripathi Yami Gataum has been loved by audiences all over, and it is surely reflected in its box office collection.
