Vivek Agnihotri’s last film Kashmir Files was an absolute success among his fans. The film did face some flak for the controversial topic it was based on. He is now all set to take on another project, here’s what he is up to. Vivek Agnihotri recently took to Twitter and asked fans to select the release date of his upcoming film The Vaccine War: A True Story. On Tuesday, the filmmaker finally shared the new release date for the film along with a teaser giving a glimpse of a lab.
The teaser also features Nana Patekar and gives us a glimpse into what went on behind the making of the Covid-19 vaccine in India. It is also said to be India’s first Bio-Science film. The director asked his audience when they would like the film to be released, the same day as Salaar, in September or on the day of India vs. Pakistan match, in October. The audience chose 28th September as the release date and the director stuck to his promise and announced that as the release date of this science thriller. The film was earlier slated to release in August but was later pushed to an unknown date until now. The film is based on India’s fight against time to create the Covid-19 vaccine.
The film also stars Sapthami Gowda and Anupam Kher which will mark the second collaboration between the actor and director duo. So take a peek into the vaccine world and what went down to create the most cost-effective vaccine during the pandemic.
