Megastar Rajinikanth is all set to return to the big screen with his film ‘Jailer’. The first song, of the film, ‘Kaavaalaa’ is already out and the audience seems to be loving it through and through. This film collected an impressive amount in advance booking with collection touching $1 Million at the USA Box Office. The film was undoubtedly going to have a big opening, knowing that it stars the legendary Rajinikanth in it. The film raked in a whopping Rs. 48 Crores on its opening day worldwide. The national collection has been 48.25 Crores, with Tamil Nadu contributing with sales of Tamil Nadu: Rs. 21.50 crores approx. Now that is quite a number for a first-day collection, but these are numbers that only a few like Thalaiva can pull. This also happens to be the biggest opening day collection for a Tamil film in 2023. Rajini once again proves, that he truly is an evergreen star.
