Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 is gearing up for an Independence Day weekend release. This social comedy has been loved by the audience and is back with a sequel that focuses on a different social topic, based on the lines of sex education from the first look of it. Apart from Akshay and Pankaj Tripathi, the film also features Yami Gautam, who plays the role of a strong-headed lawyer. The film OMG 2 was made on a budget of 150 Crores, but there has been no confirmation of the same. It is only said to be the expected budget of this Ajit Adhare production. As for the cast fees of OMG 2, here is how much each of the actors are being paid, as per a report in Check My Budget.
1. Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar plays the role of God’s messenger in OMG 2, who navigates this God-fearing man through a tough patch in life. For this role, the actor is charging only 35 Crores, while he used to charge 50-100 Crores for his role.
2. Pankaj Tripathi
This iconic actor Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of a devotee who has put all his trust in the hands of Lord Shiva. He calls out to him for help and his prayers get answered in the form of Akshay Kumar. For this role, the actor charged a total sum of 5 Crores.
3. Yami Gautam
This actress who was last seen in Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga, plays the role of a zealous lawyer in OMG 2 who is up against Pankaj Tripathi in the court of law. To essay this role, she charged a sum of 8 Crores.
The excitement of the fans for OMG 2 to hit the cinemas is through the roof as there were reports of prebookings even before the trailer could drop today. This Amit Rai directorial is slated to release on 11th August and I cannot wait to see how well it does at the box office.
