Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 has been in the news lately for a number of reasons. From the clash with the censor board to Akshay Kumar reducing his fees for the film by 30 to 40%, the film has created quite a stir even before its release. Songs like Oonchi Oonchi Waadi and Har Har Mahadev have captivated the audience and how! The Censor Board has been extra cautious when it comes to this film as it does not want to receive the same backlash as it did for Adipurush, as both are based on two very sensitive topics.

The Board has finally granted the film an ‘Adult Only’ certificate after a number of cuts made, 20 in total. The film’s premise is based on sex education, a topic that has a lot of social stigma around it in India and needs to be handled with sensitivity. CBFC wanted to make sure that the film was thoroughly checked and required cuts were made. The main reason however for the CBFC to give the film an Adult Only certificate as per a Bollywood Hungama article was, that the film mixes a number of sensitive topics like masturbation, sex education, God, and religion.

This courtroom social comedy-drama directed by Amit Rai is all set to release on 11th August. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. Make sure you catch this film in the cinemas!
