The much-anticipated film starring Akshay Kumar, OMG Oh My God 2, has hit a roadblock due to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The CBFC’s Examining Committee referred the movie to the Revising Committee because of its sensitive portrayal of religious matters. The committee aims to ensure that the film doesn’t offend anyone’s sentiments.
According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, for OMG Oh My God 2, Prasoon Joshi, the CBFC Chairperson, will personally review the film before granting the certification. This cautious step is to ensure there are no problematic scenes or dialogues. Despite this, industry insiders are optimistic that the film will smoothly pass the censor process. They believe that the first part of OMG Oh My God was well-handled and received no controversies due to its balanced approach. They are confident that the second part follows the same path, considering Akshay Kumar’s religious sensitivity and concern for his fans’ sentiments.
OMG 2 is highly-anticipated film as it stars Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva, alongside talented actors Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. I have marked my calendar for its release on August 11. I am really looking forward to this film and seeing what it is all about.
