Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara gave us absolute travel goals with our buddies, but the film also taught us some important life lessons. Through the journey of 3 friends in Spain, in the context of their friend’s bachelor party, the movie left us with a few important life lessons. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, and directed by Zoya Akhtar, was a massive blockbuster. And the songs were also an absolute hit among audiences. Farhan Akhtar also shared a post on the occasion of the film’s 12th anniversary, check it out below…
Here are some life lessons this film taught me…
1. Your friends have always got your back
Arjun, Imran and Kabir made me realise that end of the day your friends have always got your back. Through thick and thin, and also through fights. You may have your own set of disagreements and arguments, but in the end, they’ll always be there for you.
2. Money can’t buy happiness
It made me realise that money can buy you things like a bagwati, but the joy of jumping off a plane in a foreign country with your best friends is irreplaceable. Or even something as small as sharing a meal with your near ones will bring you so much more happiness.
3. Work can wait moments cannot
Kabir was right absolutely right when he threw Arjun’s phone out of the moving car. Work can definitely wait, but a view as your cruise down a road in Spain will not! Cherish every moment with your loved ones because it is the memories that stay with you forever.
4. Life’s good with your loved ones around
The trio dancing to Senorita is proof enough that everything seems better with your friends around. The joy is unmatched and life starts feeling a little less terrible. The songs of the film also encapsulated this lesson very well, especially Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein!
5. Learn to forgive
It is always better to let go of your grudges than lose a loved one, and the various tangents in the film are proof of that. People make mistakes and it is only human nature, how they make up for that is important.
I would highly recommend watching this film with your friends today, what better way to spend your Saturday?
