Secret Invasion released its first episode today and the show has started off in an engaging manner, with sharp and impactful dialogue and a genuine feeling of paranoia that sets it apart from recent MCU offerings. It also satisfies the desire for action, featuring more intense and brutal scenes.
Cobie Smulders’ character, Maria Hill, makes an unexpected appearance and is surprised to discover that Everett was being pursued by Talos. After the captivating opening credits, featuring fantastic music and peculiar visuals of Midjourney, we witness Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson coming back to Earth in a dazzling beam of light the episode quickly ramps up and there’s gritty violence, a tense atmosphere, and Fury’s personal struggles. Talos tries to reconcile with his daughter, but she learns about her mother’s death and her involvement with the killer. Secret Invasion delivers intense moments without holding back.
Above everything else, the actual review of Secret Invasion Episode 1 succeeded in one important aspect it made me have faith in the show and I am extremely excited to see the coming episodes.
