Last week Kajol took the internet by storm last week when she archived all her posts and dropped a post on Instagram that said ‘Facing one of the toughest trials of my life’, and had everyone questioning what it could be about. She later made another post with the poster of her new show The Trial – Pyaar Khoon Dhoka. In the motion poster, we see her donning a black robe and a serious expression on her face. The show is an adaptation of the American show, The Good Wife. The plot is based on the life of a housewife who decides to go back to her job as a lawyer after her husband is involved in a big scandal, which eventually lands him in jail. Things get more complicated once she is asked to represent him in court. Will she? Won’t she? We will have to wait and see. This courtroom drama is directed by Saparn Vermaa and I am very excited to see the twists and turns he has in store for us. The show stars Jissu Sengupta, Kubrra Sait, Alyy Khan and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles.
The actor also has Lust Stories 2 coming up for release, on Netflix and is set to star alongside Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen and more in this anthology.
