It was one starry night, at the 68th Filmfare Awards 2023. The red carpet saw Bollywood’s biggest names walk down in their snazziest fits. They were held on April 27, 2023, at the Jio World Conventional Centre in Mumbai. Salman Khan hosted the show for the very first time along with Ayushman Khurrana and Maniesh Paul. And some actors like Alia Bhatt, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar took the black lady home, check out the winners below!
The most talked about film, Gangubai Kathiawadi won the prestigious Best film award, and Alia Bhatt for her stellar performance as Gangubai won the Best Actress award. Another big award for the film was for the Best Director, that was awarded to none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Badhi Do had a clean sweep with some big titles such as Best Film Critic’s, Best Actor for Rajkummar Rao‘s performance as a closeted cop, while Bhumi Pednekar won the Best Actress Critic’s award for her role in the film. She also shared the title with Tabu who won the title for her amazing performance in Bhool Bhulaiyya 2.
Anil Kapoor on the other hand won best supporting actor in Jug Jugg Jeeyo. When it came to music, Bhramastra – Part One took home some big musical awards such as Best Album, Playback Singer Male, and Best Lyrics – Kasariya.
