With the OTT space growing bigger and better by the day, it never fails to amaze me to see the plethora of content it has to offer. And one such web series I am falling in love with is from Amazon Prime Video called Jubilee. Set in the classic era, and carrying a vintage vibe, Jubilee stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Sidhant Gupta, Wamiqa Gabbi, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Nandish Sandhu, and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles. The two-part series has been created by Soumik Sen and Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Andolan Films in association with Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Studios. The first part is slated to release on 7th April and I cannot wait to witness this world.
Having said that, here’s a little sneak peek into what Jubilee is all about, watch:
From what I can gauge, there is lots of love, drama, and glamour, coated with the classic Hindi cinema charm. In fact, I am loving the look and feel of Jubilee, be it this song or even how everyone looks. Well, it’s a 10-episode series divided into two parts, the first part releases on 7th April and the next part follows on 14th of April.
It is set in the golden age of Indian cinema and talking about it, Vikramaditya Motwane says…
Jubilee has been a love story in the making for me ever since I was an assistant director enamored with the world of the movies, even when there wasn’t a story to tell. While the series is set in that celebrated era of cinema, at its core, Jubilee is a very human story, with narrative themes that will resonate with everyone – which is what drew me to the story in the first place. We’ve painstakingly researched each aspect of the series to remain true to its era. It’s been the most incredible journey made with the support of a terrific studio, with some of the most amazing actors, and with the best possible crew ever. Every day on this series has been a delight and I cannot wait for the world to see the work that we’ve all done.
With all that Vikramaditya shares, I am very thrilled to watch Jubilee on Amazon Prime Video.
