Here are the designers who showcased their work on Day 2 of the Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2023.
Rina Dhaka, Saisha
Rina Dhaka’s collection, “Dark Romanticism” draws inspiration from nature. the colour palette revolved around dark gothic colours, which brought out a mysterious vibe. The designs included the usage of peplum in a modern form in tailored jackets, fitted basques, and long and circle skirts. Saisha’s collection, “Intertwined” took inspiration from the beautiful wood carving in Kashmir. While the colour palette of these beautiful gowns was inspired by the colours of Kashmir’s landscape.
Siddhartha Tytler
Siddharth Tytler’s collection, ‘2085’ is inspired by the fashion of the 80s and has spun the concept of athleisure into athluxury. The fabrics used this season include neoprene mesh, spandex, lycra tusser, tulle and wool, while the colours are the perfect throwback to the 80s with striking neons and black. To match with the hip collection, the show stopper for this show was none other than Ishaan Khattar.
Nirmooha, Ranna Gill
Nirmooha’s collection, “Matrix” created the geometric exuberance of the art deco movement through the linear symphony. The collection consisted of deeper shades like emerald, ruby, amethyst, and jade to name a few. While the signature prints come together in the form of diffused abstract patterns overlayed with linear graphics. The show-stopper for this show was Tamannah Bhatia. Ranna Gill’s collection, “Casa dei Fiori” consists of prints from blooming landscapes. Breezy maxi dresses, chic matching sets, extravagant ballgown skirts and sequin gowns made it to everyone’s wishlist without a doubt. Dazzling in these prints was Karishma Kapoor, walking the ramp as the showstopper.
Lakmé Grand Finale – Unapologetically MÉ X Diffuse by Manish Malhotra
The designer for the grand finale show of the Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI was none other than Manish Malhotra. Manish Malhotra’s collection, Unapologetically MÉ X Diffuse totally redefined the rules of fashion with androgynous styles. It aims to help you be, unapologetically you. Walking the ramp as show stoppers were Aditya Roy Kapoor and Ananya Pandey. Both looked suave in their outfits and sizzled on the runway.
