The Lockdown across India, due to Covid-19 was a tough time for all of us, undoubtedly. But the hardest hit were the migrant workers, who were stuck in various metro cities of India, unable to travel back home and short on resources. It was gut-wrenching to watch them go through that. Bheed directed by Anubhav Sinha, takes us back to those dark times, as he sheds light on the plight of the workers back then. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Kritika Kamra and Pankaj Kapur in lead roles.
The makers of the film dropped the trailer for the film, check it out below,
This film based on certain real-life events has a stellar cast who are all set to bring to light what people went through. We have Rajkummar Rao who plays the role of a dutiful cop, Bhumi Pednekar who in the trailer portrayed the role of a stranded migrant worker, and Kritika Khurana is seen playing the role of a fearless reporter. Pankaj Kapur on the other hand is shown as the bad guy, who wants to cover up the ill-doings of the management. The background music adds a lot to its dramatic narrative and gritty storytelling.
