As a 90s kid only I know how special the show Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai is for me. As a millennial, I watch the show at regular intervals because come on, who doesn’t want to treat themselves to Maya Sarabhai’s sass, or Monisha being downright cheap? For me, the iconic show is gold and it will always be, in fact after the first season in 2004, season 2 came in 2017, and yet again JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia left it open-ended leaving the fan in me eager to know why Monisha finally left the house and is asking a divorce from Sahil. But looks like, Monisha has been traced on Twitter at a dead hour of the night majorly missing her Sarabhai fam. Yes, Rupali Ganguly got into a fun Twitter banter with Sahil aka Sumeet Raghvan, and Indravardhan aka Satish Shah. And this conversation is only making me wonder if season 3 is ready to roll.
Well, last year in May, there were reports of a new season coming, in fact, the cast reuniting at Rupali’s birthday also led to many speculations, but there had been silence on this until yesterday.
Here’s what Rupali tweeted…
Responding to her tweet Sumeet commented,
Satish Shah who played Indravardhan on the show also jumped into the conversation and wrote…
Well, I am loving this banter totally, but looks like more than me, it is Rupali who is waiting to get back with the Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai cast. Talking about them she says…
Be it in person, or via these kind of social media interactions, when the Sarabhai gang gets together it is always madness and an amazing feeling! It was so lovely and surprising to see Sumeet and Satish Kaka just reply to my tweets out of the blue. The special and strong bond that we share continues to remain, in this way or any other way even if we don’t end up speaking to each other for long. There is always going to be this connect between us that will remain forever. I was infact laughing about the thought that if Ratna ben was on Twitter, she would have definitely shouted at me for being awake so late, as I was tweeting in the middle of the night!
Well, the netizens surely did enjoy this catching up, and so did I, but what would have been even better was poetry from Roshesh on this situation. Haha! Now I am super tempted to rewatch the show, so let me get on to it.
