Last week, after a very long time I felt the sentiment of how cinema unites people. Yes, watching Pathaan and the people getting up to dance to Jhoome Jo Pathaan made it feel like a festival. This true celebration of cinema that Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer has been record-breaking. In terms of the trade, a never seen phenomenon was seen at the box office with the Aditya Chopra film raking in big moolah. Now in six days the film is all set to touch the Rs 600 crore mark at the box office. As of now, Pathaan‘s box office collections stand at Rs 591 crores gross worldwide.
The film has surely become a blockbuster and yesterday, the entire team of this Siddharth Anand directorial interacted with the press and shared some heartwarming stories.
As for the business, on its sixth day, Pathaan registered Rs 26.50 crore net in India (Hindi – 25.50, All Dubbed versions – 1.00 crore), taking the India gross total to Rs 32 crore. The overseas gross on day six is at Rs 16 crore. What is even more amazing is that in 6 days, Pathaan has recorded $27.56 million (224.6 crore) in the overseas territories alone, while net collection in India stands at Rs 307.25 crore (Hindi – 296.50 crore, Dubbed – 10.75 crore).
Well, Pathaan has become the fastest Hindi film to breach the Rs 300 crore NBOC (Net Box Office Collection). And with the way the film’s craze continues to be strong, I am seeing it cross the 1000 crore mark super soon.
