In some stories in history, you only get to hear one side of it. But what happens to the other? It often goes unheard of, until someone comes along to unwrap it. One such story is of Gandhi and Godse. We all know and have heard of the assassination of Gandhi by Godse, and have all the arguments which condemned it. Directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, ‘Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh‘ revolves around the fictional tale of how Gandhi survives the attack on him and meets Godse in prison. The film stars Deepak Antani, Chinmay Mandlekar, Arif Zakariya, and Pawan Chopra. The movie also features debutants Tanisha Santoshi and Anuj Saini.
The bone-chilling thriller gives you an insight into an alternate universe that you would not have imagined in your wildest dreams, I for sure didn’t. To watch Gandhi and Godse in the same frame, and moreover, have a heated conversation putting for their points really makes you want to pinch yourself to check if this is actually happening on screen. This historical thriller will keep you on your toes, with its plots, its arguments, and most of all, its War on Ideologies.
The film will hit the theatres on Republic Day, January 26, 2023, and is surely going to be an interesting watch. What I am also excited about is people’s reaction to this War on Ideologies.
