Hina Khan is out in town to do something different, a tele-play titled ‘Shadyantra‘ which is a murder mystery. The premise of the film revolves around a murder that takes places and the suspects who are called in my the police. What happens when the to-be murderer gets murdered? Those are the questions Shravan Shah from Team Miss Malini had, while in conversation with Hina Khan and Chandan Roy Sanyal. Here is how it went..’
Shravan asked them about the concept of a ‘tele-play’ and how was the experience for them,
I knew this play they are going to shoot, we have exactly rehearsed and shot it like a play. Actors have entered exited, people have stood on their marks, entered on que. The only difference was that it was shot. I learned a lot from it and got to work with great actors. I have the confidence that I am ready for a live play.
He also asked them whether doing a play validates the actor in them, now that a tele-play is ticked off…
Oh not at all, surely not for him as well. This is just the trailer, picture abhi baaki hai. Doing live theatre is not a joke. Its nothing like drinking a cup of tea
Hina also talks about how everyone is theatre looks after each other. If you make a mistake, you know someone else will cover it up for you, everyone looks after each other. The ecosystem is built that way.
The interview ended on a rather soft and emotional note, when Shravan asked her about a memorable moment of 2022, here’s what she had to say…
It took me very long to make my mother smile. My mom still sends messages on my dad’s number and I have to be the one to reply to her. And she knows I do it, but it is just an unsaid thing in the family. And she gets the comfort knowing that I do it, and I have kept that phone that number going.
