Being a millennial I will always have a place in my heart for television, which is why I am extremely fond of all those who are a part of it. Yes, I do belong to the generation that still enjoys watching TV as much as I love exploring the web space. In fact, what amazes me about TV actors is their zest, and the spirit for them to keep entertaining us every day with their stories. In 2022, lots of TV actors had an amazing time, but some of them had quite the year both professionally and personally. Be it a Tejasswi Prakash, a Rubina Dilaik, or even a Dheeraj Dhoopar, for many of them, the sky is the limit.
Here are 10 actors from television who absolutely won hearts in 2022…
1. Rubina Dilaik
Actress Rubina Dilaik is truly the queen of the small screen. In fact, when she was participating in Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa Season 10 recently, I was so stunned to see the craze people had for her. While she is probably the one of biggest stars on television today, 2022 was quite amazing for her professionally. We saw Rubina on Khatron Ke Khiladi first, then there was Jhalak, and not just this she even had a film released on the OTT space, wouldn’t you call that one blessed year?
2. Dheeraj Dhoopar
Another actor who would totally rejoice looking back at 2022 would be Dheeraj Dhoopar. This was quite the year for him on both the personal and professional front. From becoming a father to a cute boy to being a part of a leading show, Dheeraj has been happily juggling between work and life. This year he quit the most iconic show Kundali Bhagya, but then we saw him on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa 10 and now we are also loving his character in Sherdill Shergill. With so much happening in life, Dheeraj is in quite the happy space I would say.
3. Tejasswi Prakash
Honestly, 2022 started only on a fabulous note for Tejasswi Prakash. While she won the Bigg Boss 15 trophy, she even bagged one of the biggest supernatural dramas on television, Naagin 6. Since her Bigg Boss victory, Tejasswi has only been working, in fact, there has never been a single day, I haven’t spotted her on set or outside them posing for the paparazzi, but yes, she has seen lots of success this year and there is a lot more to come. From starring in music videos to making her Marathi film debut with Mann Kasturi Re, 2022 has been the year of stardom for the amazing Teja.
4. Rupali Ganguly
Being celebrated for your character and performance is the biggest achievement for any artist, and for Rupali Ganguly that was it. This year too Rupali continued to rule hearts with Anupamaa. Not only has she been part of the biggest soap opera on Indian television, but she has also been getting lots of laurels for playing this character that the audiences have been able to relate to so much. So all in all, 2022 was as amazing as it could be for Rupali.
5. Arjun Bijlani
Arjun Bijlani has been on a roll since last year, and this year his success streak has only gotten stronger. From hosting reality shows to moving into an even more beautiful home, Arjun has had many happy moments this year. But the biggest of them have been two, one turning a host for MTV Splitsvilla Season 14 and the second one bagging a role in Karan Johar‘s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Other than this he had two music singles this year, and his web-show Roohaniyat also did very well.
6. Hina Khan
Hina Khan always lives up to being the boss lady of television for me. 2022 was a remarkable year for her, while she walked at Cannes once again, she even announced an international film called Country Of Blind. Not just this, Hina even tried her hand at theatre with Shadyantra this year. Other than this, her social media game has simply been on point. So yes, it has been a great year for Hina, from walking the ramp to acing it in front of the camera. Here’s hoping for an even better 2023, which I am sure it will be.
7. Uorfi Javed
Right after Bigg Boss OTT, Uorfi Javed became quite a sensation not only on social media but even on the small screen. In fact, many big stars like Ranveer Singh have not only noticed but even lauded her fashion stance. Workwise too, Uorfi has had a music video that was released and we have also seen her in a special role on MTV Splitsvilla Season 14.
8. Pratik Sehajpal
Professionally, 2022 was very special for Pratik Sehajpal also, from becoming the runner-up on Bigg Boss 15 there has been no looking back. Pratik did Khatra Khatra, and Khatron Ke Khiladi after that, and then he even bagged a lead role in Naagin 6. With so much work happening, 2022 was surely superb for Pratik.
9. Jasmin Bhasin
Jasmin Bhasin had an amazing here workwise, she featured in some music videos but also traveled a lot, but the highlight of the year for her was her Punjabi film debut. She starred in the movie Honeymoon which was quite well received, now with this I am excited to see what’s happening for her in 2023.
10. Rajiv Adatia
If I could give an award of the entertainer of the year to anyone it would be Rajiv Adatia. He has made me laugh quite a lot in 2022. Be it on Bigg Boss or on Khatron Ke Khiladi, Rajiv was an utter delight to watch and with him being at his funny best throughout, I really want to see more of him in 2023.
