Vicky Kaushal is back to doing what he does best, a strong iconic role that will leave you feeling a little more patriotic. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur has been creating a buzz ever since its announcement. The first unit of the film was dropped today with the announcement of its release date, as 1st December. It is going to be quite a task waiting a year for a movie that looks and sounds this exciting. It also stars some promising names such as Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The video emotes power in every sense as Vicky is paving his way through a battalion while they make way for Sam Bahadur. Even with a clip this small you know the command he has over his role and the aura that his character exudes. The film revolves around Sam Manekshaw’s Army Career spanned over four decades and five wars. He started off as an Indian Army officer who was then promoted to the rank of Field Marshall after his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
The buzz around this movie started right from its time of announcement due to Vicky’s uncanny resemblance and realistic portrayal of Sam. We also see Sanya Malhotra playing Manekshaw’s wife – Siloo. While Fatima Shaikh is seen playing Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. Would be really interesting to see the look reveal of these characters as well. One thing’s for sure, that these power packed roles are sure to bring history to life on the big screen in December, next year.
You may or may not be a Vicky Kaushal fan, but is one movie you need to add to your watchlist for 2023. Because it sure is on mine! I’ve got my eyes peeled for the teaser of this movie, and all that it has to offer.
