Being someone who has grown up watching Power Rangers, this news comes as heartbreaking. 49-year-old Jason David Frank who played the Green Power Ranger – Tommy Oliver passed away in Texas yesterday. While Frank’s manager Justine Hunt confirmed the news, the reason of death has been disclosed. However, several media reports claim that the actor died by suicide. It is indeed a very sad news for his fans.

Lots of Power Rangers fans and even close associates of Jason have been pouring condolences ever since the news has surfaced. In fact, the official Power Rangers handles also expressed their sadness on Twitter.
Jason was also a practitioner of Mixed Martial Arts, he was also trained in Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As per reports, Frank fought professionally from 2008 to 2010. As for Power Rangers, he was quite the force to reckon with and went on to reprise his role as Tommy in several adaptions of Power Rangers, namely, Wild Force, Turbo, Ninja Steel, HyperForce, and more. A legend is lost indeed.
