I am fascinated by the idea of women being at the center of an engaging series. A similar thing has happened with Hush Hush, which is about to stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 22. Starring Juhi Chawla, Kritika Kamra, Soha Ali Khan and Sahana Goswani, the trailer of Hush Hush was launched today and it left me with many questions. Interestingly it is also a project led by a female-first cast and crew.
Check out the trailer here:
The clip begins with Juhi’s character mentioning not to do something which would make you regret later. The next frame shows Karishma Tanna as a female cop who says that people are more keen on knowing the secrets of the rich and famous than the life of a police officer. Slowly all the characters are established and we see. Karishma is trying to unravel a mystery surrounding the characters of Soha, Ayesha Jhulka , Kritika and Sahana. After watching the trailer I feel it is a suspense thriller
The project has been produced by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment and co-created by acclaimed director Tanuja Chandra.
Hush Hush revolves around a set of women whose picture-perfect lives begin to come undone when an unexpected event brings to the fore secrets from their past and threatens everything that’s dear to them. Knitted in a web of lies, deceit and fighting patriarchy, the story explores the storm that brews behind the seemingly quiet façade of the privileged lives of these women.
What makes Hush Hush even more unique is that it features a cast and crew primarily comprising women, right from the Production Designer, the Costume Designer, the Associate Producer, the Co-producer, to teams in the Art, Costume, Production and even the Security crew.
Well, I feel the trailer is hard hitting and has the power to make you curious about the plot. And I am sure my curiosity will be over at the time of its release i.e. September 22.
