After watching Makkhi and Baahubali, I think S. S. Rajamouli is one of the most creative filmmakers of our Indian film industry. I am still in awe of his last release RRR. The director, who is also presenting Ayan Mukerji’s directorial Brahmastra: Part One Shiva mentions that the film will take Indian Indian culture to the world. At a recent press event, the director was praising the film stating that it is a commercial way of telling the story of astras.

While participating at a pre-release media interaction in Chennai, the RRR director spoke about how Brahmastra is also one of the most costliest productions of the year. Here are the excerpts of the interaction:
On director Ayan’s vision, Rajamouli says…
Ayan dreamt about creating a world that we have never seen before — the magnificent world of astras that we have learnt from our history, our puranas.
Talking more about the concept of Astras, he shares…
As children, we heard about these astras but have never seen their splendor.
Elaborating more about the film, he says…
That is what Ayan has dreamt. It has been a long journey from 2014. He has been ably supported by Karan Johar, Ranbir, Alia, Nagarjuna and Amit sir. Thank you all for making me a part of this fantastic journey
Describing more about the concept of the film, he shares…
Creating a world that Ayan has created is not easy. Ayan has created a power which still has some limits. He provided the scope to create a bigger villain and also created a scope for the struggle for good to win over evil. It is not like a fairy tale. It is like a commercial way of telling the story of astras. This is what I like about ‘Brahmastra’.”
Shedding more light on the title of the project, he says…
Ayan made sure that among all the astras, including ‘Vanara Astra’, ‘Agni Astra’, ‘Jalastra’ and ‘Brahmastra’ — love is the strongest. Not just telling this fact in dialogues, he made sure that his point comes across. That love will win over everything.
Well, after knowing all the reasons, now I am eagerly excited to watch the film on the big screen.
Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva releases on 9th September.
