From the time Farhan Akhtar announced Jee Le Zaraa, I have been curious to know about the film. I think the idea of three girls on a road trip is quite exciting. After watching Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, I was curious to see how Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra starrer would look like. The theme of three girlfriends who celebrate friendship is a unique one rarely explored on Indian celluloid.
As the film was announced there was a buzz in the media about its future. While clearing all the speculations, at the recent media interaction Alia Bhatt confirmed about the film’s progress.
On the status of Jee Le Zaraa….
IT’S HAPPENING!!…We will go on floors next year. Of course we can not go on the floor this year (Indicating to her pregnancy). We ain’t letting that film go. We are fighting for it and we are all too excited about it. It’s going to be quite massive and we can’t wait.
This piece of update really made my day. Well, as per the reports, the film is one of the biggest collaborations ever. The makers approaching Top Bollywood actresses is proof of that. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti pens the Excel Entertainment production. After delivering films like Dil Chahata Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do, and Gully Boy, the production house is all set to begin working on this one next year.
Apart from Jee Le Zaraa, Farhan has also started writing a new subject. He will also be seen in Rakesh Sharma Biopic. It will be interesting to see Farhan donning a director’s hat after a decade. He directed Don 2 starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanaka Chopra in 2011. Well, now I am keeping my fingers crossed to be entertained in Jee Le Zaraa.
