Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 on ColorsTV is my go-to show when I feel like watching something to get an adrenal rush. The Rohit Shetty show is getting excited every passing week with elements of fun, drama, fear, suspense and thrill. One of the contestants who has surprised me the most is Sriti Jha. I like the way she carries herself and the show and performs every stunt with full vigor. During an exclusive interview with Team MissMalini, Sriti spoke to us about overcoming her biggest fears and the most surprising contestant on the show.
Check out the excerpts from the interview:
On getting a call from the makers from Khatron Ke Khiladi…
I was surprised they would pick me, I was like why should I do it? I was like no, I don’t wanna do this. A lot of my friends are instrumental in convincing me and I was not doing anything else. It was the growing thought for the past one year. I am quite stubborn that way and not that gullible. I convinced myself.
On her childhood fears…
I was scared of dogs as a child because a dog had bit me. I am not afraid of dogs anymore. As I grew up I stared to find them adorable and I got over it.
On things she was skeptical to do on the show…
There are different life skills that I don’t know like driving, swimming. I am comfortable with water but I don’t know how to swim. They give jackets, so you have to jump into water, I have done that. So driving and swimming, I have been able to do both on the show. You will find out when you watch the show. I have also done a dog stunt. It was quite intense.
On her thoughts about Rohit Shetty…
I did not come with a preconceived notion at all, but I was intimidated on the first day, He is one of the biggest directors of the nation right now. but as we started shooting I found out that he is just incredibly funny. He has an amazing sense of humor. He likes to have fun with Nishant Bhatt, Rajiv Adatia and everyone. He has a childish side to him which is endearing. Even when he takes a dig at us.
On contestant who has surprised her…
Jannat Zubair, you will find out when you watch the show. She is fearless, I am sure she has moments of apprehensions and being unsure, but the way she conquers, it is effortless.
