It’s no secret that we’ve practically counted the days till Koffee With Karan Season 7 finally aired. Don’t tell us you didn’t miss Karan Johar prying out secrets from our favourite celebrities along with those iconic games and that feisty rapid fire. Because we defo missed it. The very first episode of this show featured the rocking jodi of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. When the trailer of Koffee With Karan Season 7 showed us that these 2 were going to be making an appearance on Karan’s couch, we just knew it was going to be an unforgettable episode.
How much fun was that banter between Ranveer Singh and her? This first episode of the talk show was the perfect blend of sass, humour and lots of fun. We gotta say our expectations for Koffee With Karan Season 7 are officially way too high now. However, all our eyes were on Alia’s soft, romantic makeup. Don’t you think it was absolutely breathtaking? For one, we loved how well her makeup complimented that oh-so-adorable outfit of hers. We’re all fans of some classic pink and red in this house!

The Base
Usually, Alia loves her dewy base since most of her makeup looks have been hella illuminating. However, this time around, she’s kept her base matte. This can be done by opting for a mattifying primer. Not only will it blur out your pores, but also control any shine caused due to excessive oil production. Next, go in with a matte foundation to ensure that there’s no illumination or dewiness. Here’s a pro tip, always apply a matte foundation with your fingers. Their warmth of allows the product to blend in seamlessly.
The Brows
We know Alia is #TeamBushyBrows and we’re not complaining. Gone are the days of the skinny brow. We’re all about thick brows that look natural now! The best product for this would be an eyebrow pencil since it offers pigment and definition at the same time. Be sure to fill the ends and the middle of your brows to cover any sparse areas. If you’re feeling a lil too bold, go in again with an eyebrow gel to keep the fluffiness alive and breathing!
The Eyes
Easily the winner of the entire look, Alia’s eyes have stolen our hearts! Choose a rosy-nude eyeshadow palette for this look since that’s what she’s gone for. Give your eyelids a wash of light colour and keep it subtle without darkening the crease at all. Now comes our favourite part! Go in for a little darker colour and use that to intensify your lower lash line, and watch your eyes pop! The key to mastering the romantic eye makeup look lies in choosing your colour palette very carefully, in this case, rosy nude hues are your besties!
The Lashes
Since Alia’s skipped out on the eyeliner, we can see those long, fluttering lashes and we love em. One secret to getting lashes like these is never forgetting to use an eyelash curler. A lengthening and volumising mascara would be ideal to use. Gently wiggle it on your lashes from the base to the ends to make sure you’re coating them evenly. Don’t be shy to coat them twice or even thrice!
The Cheeks
Can we admit a tiny secret? We absolutely love seeing Alia flaunt those cheekbones! Usually, she steers clear from defining them and goes with giving them a pop of colour. However, for this makeup look, Alia’s chosen a terracotta-hued blush, which has done a stellar job at sculpting her cheekbones and giving them a wash of colour at the same time. And we’re so on board with this idea! Can’t wait to try it out soon.
The Lips
I’m gonna be real with you guys, I’m not the biggest fan of nude lips but it’s safe to say that Alia Bhatt has convinced me otherwise. You’re going to need 2 things to get lips like Alia’s here. The first one is a lip-liner that’s in a rosy-mauve shade, a little darker than the lipstick. The second one is a classic nude lipstick to fill your lips. This will create the illusion of a fuller lip, and who doesn’t love that?
