The OTT space has only gotten bigger and better in the last two years. While it has opened many doors for actors, there is also great content being made on it. Amongst the many web shows my recent favourite is Gone Game 2 which is going to release tomorrow. The show’s trailer already left me quite intrigued, so I am waiting to see how what do the Gujrals impress me this season. But one such actor from the cast that caught my attention right from the trailer has been actress, Harleen Sethi. Yes, we saw Harleen in Broken But Beautiful Season 2 and now we will see her play a CBI officer this time. I even spoke to the actress for playing such a different role and she had lots of amazing things to share.

On her excitement around Gone Game 2’s release…
I am very excited and I have butterflies also, because a project is coming out after a very long time. Everything I shot last year or post the second wave of Covid, will start releasing now, this is one of the first projects coming out. It’s a completely new character and I have just gone with the director’s vision, I don’t know how I have performed and how it’s come out.
On how she bagged this role…
I tested for this part in last January when there was another director on-board. I wasn’t very keen on testing for it because I am going to play a commando in Test Case also, so I was very sure that I didn’t want to play anything strong that would take away from what I will be doing in Test Case. When this was offered to me, I was thinking not to test, but I really liked the scene in the audition script. When everything worked out for it, the director changed and the guy who came on board was one of my most favorite directors, Abhishek Sengupta. I was very excited because he told me that he wanted a CBI officer that was never seen before.
On working with Abhishek…
He didn’t want loud acting, so he and the writer completely changed my part. Both Abhishek and I were new on season 2, everybody else had their characters set from season 1. So Abhishek and I had only each other to trust. The process of building Sharmila Gupta was quite enjoyable.
On the amazingness of the OTT space…
I am really enjoying this phase of my life, last 6 months I have shot for such great things. Everybody is getting chance now to showcase their potential to the people, it’s very interesting, the OTT space gives you a long graph to enjoy and build a character. I really love to be a part of a good team.
Gone Game 2 releases on Voot tomorrow and I am super thrilled to see the story unfold, especially, after being so charmed by Harleen’s character.
