Without music we can’t even go for a day, can you? Music has the power to make people tap their feet. Hence, last week on World Music Day, Instagram launched #1MinMusic pop-ups to highlight how music videos can be reimagined with the help of Reels. 1 Min Music‘ is Instagram‘s music property to inspire emerging and established artists to innovate and create music in a completely new way. This new feature will allow you to illustrate music videos creatively on Reels. The pop-ups of the same will be held in multiple cities which started with Gurgoan.

The artists will be paired with Instagram-first videographers to shoot their music videos using multiple creative studio backdrops and genre-specific setups created especially for this pop-up. It’s a property featuring exclusive music tracks and videos from over 200 national and regional artists. As part of this property, music from Shaan, Mame Khan, Himanshi Khurana and Kaur B have already been released.

A selected few artists created their own original music with music videos shot at the pop-up of the launch of 1 Min Music which were released immediately. The first pop-up in the series was launched by the cast of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, which included actors Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Maniesh Paul. The actors unveiled a dialogue-based audio made for the promotion of the movie. And as you can see above, the audio, J-Mix was made by the super talented composer and meme creator, Mayur Jumani.

The pop-up in Gurgaon was held from June 19th to 21st and featured artists such as Dhvani Bhanushali whose songs are already a sensation on ReelsKabeer Kathpalia whose song ‘Doobey’ got the nationwide grooving, Rashmeet Kaur whose version of ‘Bajre Da Sitta’ has over 240k Reels created with it and Aditya A whose song ‘Chaand Baaliyan’ has reached over hearts with a million of Reels created on it. Being discovered is hugely important for artists, so we get the motivation to hone our craft and start to get monetizable opportunities. On Reels, music is the currency that’s getting people to share their talent and experiences, and getting discovered in that process. That’s why #1MinMusic is a legit format because it’s highly consumed. I’m happy to be part of this property from Instagram and to also launch my original with a music video at the pop-up.
