I would like to call myself a self-acclaimed ice cream connoissieur and I take a lot of pride in it. Ice creams are a blessing to human kind. Goodness in the form of cream, ice, sprinkles and oh heavens the sweetness.
From the good old, trusty Cornettos to the luxurious, rich, creamy and luscious boutique ice creams that can burn a whole in your pocket but are worth it and how! I bring to you some of the best ice creams I’ve had and the ones I keep craving time and again.
1) Oh Dough!
Just thinking about this ice cream brings me tears of joy. The vivid flvaours with a wide range of flavours never fail to disappoint you. It’s astonishing how each of these varied combinations come to life in their kitchen and they taste heavenly. My personal favorites have to be the Lotus Biscoff Strawberry and Salted Caramel Ice Creams.
2) Starbucks
You could never even in your wildest dreams fathom the beauty of this ice cream. If you love the Caramel Frappuccinos at Starbucks, the Caramel Macchiatto ice cream brings each of them to life in it’s own way. The hint of coffee in each bite is prominent but no overpowering and let’s caramel be the hero of this ice cream. An all-time favorite and hands down to the coffee place for whipping this up.
3) Bono Boutique
Bono Boutique stands out because of the toppings they offer. Their flavours are a stand out. The ice creams are rich, beautiful and transport you to another ice cream land. All flavours are worth a shot but the Honeycomb ice cream defines the true meaning of food coma.
4) K Rustom
How could we not have K-Rustom on this list? It is an all time classic and purely iconic as it continues to pay ode to the vintage Bombay era. Perched up in a corner at Marine Drive, this place holds a special place in our hearts, being my go-to ice cream place as a child. My heart leaps out of my chest at the sight of their Trutti Frutti ice cream sandwiched between thin wafer cookies. Naturally, it is my favourite ice cream they offer. Although, from my many visits to the place over the years: The Paan Ice-Cream, Toffee Crunch and Coffee Walnuts are some of the most flavours.
5) Coppetto
Coppetto is one of it’s kind artisanal gelato that leaves you wanting more and more after each time. Coppetto offers some of the yummiest flavours in true blue gelato form. It may be quite obvious that I am always heart eyes for caramel but without any bias, the salted caramel ice cream from Coppetto would make anyone fall in love. Other than that, their Vanilla, Hazlenut and Blueberry Cheesecake are heavenly.
6) Zoetto
Colourful, flavourful, all thing beautiful! Zoetto has some of the best offerings in terms of flavours, topping, sauces, waffle cones and iced lollies. I can never pick a flavour, my mind is almost always clouded with indecisiveness, a child in a candy store sorts feeling. But if I had to pick, the Black Gold, Caramel Cookies, Kinder Bueno and the Strawberry Yoghurt ice creams are to die for. Take a scop, drizzle with a sauce, shower with toppings of your choice and just float in ice cream heaven.
